The Appalachian Trail is over 2,000 miles long and runs from Georgia all the way to Maine. Mark grew up close to the trail in Virginia and had hiked a few hundred miles of it, so it had always been a goal of his to do the whole thing. Well, he finally did it! Seeing sea life caught up in pollution left behind by people is always heartbreaking. Some boaters came across a sea turtle that had gotten caught up in a bag whose cord was wrapped tightly around one flipper. Seven-year-old Liam Silveira and the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department have a ton of admiration for each other.
