When a 25-year-old husband and father of two was pulled over for expired registration in Plano, Texas, Hayden Carlo explained to the cop that he knew he should have renewed his registration, but he could not afford to do so with a young family to feed. At a press conference held Saturday morning, Newton Connecticut Police Lieutenant Paul Vance said that 20-year-old gunman Adam Lanza "forced his way into" Sandy Hook Elementary School on Friday, before killing 20 children and six adults. Vance said that investigators have "very good evidence" that they will be able to use in painting the picture of how and why this occurred- possibly suggesting a motive. Vance also announced that the bodies of the 26 victims have been identified and their names and ages will be released by the medical examiner later today. View Now
A man was waiting in the lobby of an apartment complex when he pulled a gun on the manager. Taking the manager and two others into an apartment, he pointed the gun at the manager and fired. Update: Authorities have confirmed the shooter as 20-year-old Adam Lanza. Reports say Adam had his brother Ryan's ID on him, leading police to believe earlier that he was Ryan. Ryan Lanza is currently in custody for questioning. It is reported that Adam has suffered from a history of mental illness.
