A transport van was passing through a river when it got stuck and good Samaritans were forced to work together to save the passengers. Forming a human chain, locals were unable get hold of the truck. More than a dozen dogs were recently saved from a "backyard breeder" by Tri-County Animal Rescue in Boca Raton, Florida. The 19 malnourished and dehydrated dogs were relocated with the help of the Darbster Foundation. Among those rescued were three pregnant female dogs that were on the cusp of giving birth. Just days after the rescue, two of the pregnant pooches gave birth to 16 little ones, boosting the saved lives to 35 dogs. The non-profit organization operates solely on donations and sponsorships, so Tri-County Animal Rescue is seeking an additional $20,000-$25,000 in donations due to the condition of the dogs.
