Graham Underwood knew his grandfather had left him some momentos from his time serving in World War I, but he had never bothered to look into it until just a few weeks ago. While Fred Deighton had never fully talked about his war experiences with his family, he left a box of letters, photographs and more in a trunk for them when he passed away in 1976. The time capsule has items that are over 100 years old, and Underwood now says he has a new appreciation for his grandfather.

Australian surfer Russell Bierke is on the beach in Nazaré, Portugal surfing some pretty big waves. And by "pretty big waves" we mean massive, 60-foot waves. He has an impressive run going, until the wave crests and knocks him under. Luckily, there's a rescue team on a jet ski looking for him, but even when they find him, the powerful wave takes him out again.
