Texting and driving: In a day of constant connection, it's a huge problem across the country. So when world-renowned German filmmaker Werner Herzog was approached by AT&T about creating a short documentary about the issue, he jumped at the opportunity. The result is the devastating 35 minute film From One Second to the Next. The short film follows four families after their lives are turned upside-down by accidents that resulted from a driver texting behind the wheel. According to AT&T, it was shown to high schools, safety groups and government agencies across the country. Many online are claiming this powerful film could be what finally puts an end to the texting and driving epidemic.
AT&T also launched a powerful ad campaign to help combat the texting and driving problem, and spread awareness about From One Second to the Next. Throughout the campaigns, the telecommunications corporation urges people to take the "It Can Wait" pledge, a promise to never text and drive.
