The trainer was accused of committing the cruel act of "soring." Soring is where a trainer will apply a chemical to the horse's leg and then wrap it, which essentially cooks the leg. This makes the movement of the horse much more exaggerated for competitions. So far, two trainers have been arrested for felony animal cruelty. </p>
