You probably remember this story about the IKEA monkey. And although it happened weeks ago- decades in Internet time- people are still talking about him. Someone's even made a video game about him and selling t-shirts too. IKEA wasn't involved with making any of this stuff so, 1) It's possible the game and the shirt won't be available much longer 2) you don't have to assemble any of it yourself.

The Terrifying IKEA Experience: Will You Make It Out Alive?

If you've ever been to an IKEA, you should be able to relate to this pretty easily. Daniel Hubbard created this hilariously dramatic satire inspired by Alfonso Cuarón's blockbuster film Gravity starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. UPDATE: Coat-Wearing Monkey Found in IKEA Taken From Owners

Something tells us this might be one of the strangest things to ever happen inside an IKEA. "Why is there a monkey in IKEA?" asks a bewildered customer in Toronto, Canada. The monkey named Darwin was found unaccompanied and caused quite a stir around the world after photos of him wearing a well-fitted beige coat surfaced online. Spokesperson Mary Lou Leiher at Toronto Animal Services says 7-month-old Darwin obviously had a stressful time but he's doing fine and eating well. Darwin's owners, originally from Montreal, were forced to hand over the monkey to animal services because he is considered a prohibited animal under Toronto's bylaws. The owners, who have not been identified, were fined $240. Darwin is now headed to his new home at the Storybook Farms Primate Sanctuary in Sunderland. Watch Darwin the monkey brushing his teeth, fooling around at the office, or kissing his human mommy on the mouth. View Now
