Best Friends: Lena Dunham Directs Eclectic Fashion Short Film

Girls might be on a summer hiatus, but writer, director and actress Lena Dunham isn't taking a break from creating obscure and eclectic art. The short film, which was commissioned by fashion designer Rachel Antonoff, stars Lena's little sister, Grace Dunham, as the brunette. Best Friends explores the natural phenomenon seen round the world, humans who chose to attach themselves as closely as family, creating unique rituals that differ between pairs- the phenomenon of best friendship. It seems clear that Dunham channeled her inner Wes Anderson in this idiosyncratic, yet relatable short. Pro tip: Does the voice sound familiar to all you Girls fans?
