Celebrities are real people too, especially when they do nice things to help out the community. Matthew McConaughey comes from a Southern family background and enjoys giving back to others, even on his birthday. On his 48th birthday on Nov. 4, Matthew walked around delivering 4,500 free turkeys to families in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky as part of a Wild Turkey initiative. He's a spokesman for the brand, but we still think it's very well done. Go Matthew!

Event Gifts Community With Free Turkeys For Christmas

The holidays are a great time to remind us to be kind to others and do good deeds. One such act of kindness is the "Talking Over Turkey" annual event in Leamington, Canada. Mike and Deanna Diab first had the idea to give away turkeys to their community back in 2016, inspired by a stranger paying for their coffee at a drive-thru. Talking Over Turkey also draws inspiration from Mike and Deanna's mothers who always prepared turkeys for their families every year, according to the Windsor Star. via CTV Windsor   The Diabs gave away 50 turkeys the first year, but this year volunteers prepared 609 food boxes containing turkeys and all the fixings. Thank you for your hard work! We can only imagine how many more people will be paying it forward next year. View Now
