It's no secret that extreme sports come with risks, but it's easy enough to assume you'll never be "that guy" on the news. Unfortunately, Brazilian daredevil Leonardo Lean Gomes' luck ran out when a sudden gust of wind blew him off Pedra Bonita peak with only a partially-open paraglider as buddy Lorran Pablo records the incident. Although Leonardo's malfunctioning chute still works enough to slow his disastrous plummet to a barely less-than-deadly landing, rescue crews take more than four hours to locate the seriously injured adventurer hidden in the woods.

Only the most experienced kayakers would even consider paddling over a towering 80-foot waterfall, but Bren Orton and his crazy kayaking friends aren't about to let a little acrophobia get in the way of an extreme challenge like this! Too bad for Pirmin that the Eksingdalen river has a few nasty tricks up her sleeve.

WARNING: Don't try this at home (or in the air). These daredevils do know their inflated wings are the only thing keeping them in the air... right? Thankfully, this deadly mishap (for anyone else) was completely intentional and in fact a controlled stunt performance for the Canarias Acro Team. Even though we know it's all planned out, we can't help getting the chills watching these epic professionals flirt with death. View Now

Rider Dodges Stray Bullet & 'The Hunt' Takes A Shocking Turn

Mark Robert gets the scare of his life when a ricocheting bullet passes inches from him and his trusty horse! Thankfully this close call is just that and both make it away untouched. We wish we could say the same about this camouflaged and very unlucky turkey hunter's backside when a fellow hunter accidentally fires through his hideout. Four painful pellets extractions later and Roderick Lauer has quite the story to tell, though he's lucky our clueless hunter wasn't armed with something more deadly. Humans are hardly the only species who run into trouble on the hunt. Apparently, turkey decoys are lifelike enough to even fool predators like this surprised coyote! View Now
