To whoever has tried selling an older, used car before, this one's for you. Filmmaker Max Lanman is a talented, well-rounded creative professional who knew the answer to selling his girlfriend (now fianceé), Carrie's 1996 Honda Accord. Known for his commercials, Max was going to create an epic one. With help from friends and other professionals in the industry, this epic advertisement was born. To his surprise, this video is going viral and the eBay listing has received a ridiculous amount of bids and is now closed.

Max joins our RightThisMinute hosts via Skype to tell us the story of how this all began and his amazement at the response it's received.

However, in the days following, the folks at Car Max created an advert that made a genuine offer for the used car, this story gets better and better each day.

Last week filmmaker Max Lanman released a commercial he produced for his girlfriend's 1996 Honda Accord that went absolutely viral. Max listed the used car on eBay and you wouldn't believe the bids it received. The winning bid was $150,000 and unfortunately, someone in eBay's fraud department didn't know the whole story and canceled the auction. While that must have been frustrating for Max and his girlfriend Carrie, someone else is interested in the car. The folks over at CarMax got creative and made a commercial in the form of a "we're interested" message. It's quite clever, and there's a happy update to this story! Max’s fiancé officially accepted CarMax's video offer to buy Greenie (and a few other items!) for $20,000. The cat is staying with the couple, but CarMax generously donated an additional $5,000 to Kitten Rescue, a local nonprofit in Los Angeles. View Now
