The man is this video might have better than 20/20 vision because we can't figure out how he spotted a dog drowning in the river. He leaps into the rushing water, catching up to the struggling dog and is able to save the day. After they got out of the water, the dog was reunited with their owner.

Moving onto another stranded animal, this whale found itself beached in Punta Carnero, Ecuador. Beachgoers didn't just stand idly by, they swooped in to lend a hand. Somehow they managed to get the whale to budge a little, and the tide came in to do the rest.
