Bizarre weather had some Peruvians bracing for the Apocolypse. To their credit, this bright "rainbow of fire" streaking across the sky does look pretty scary, though scientists quickly identified the strange sight as an optical phenomenon closely related to the rainbows we know and love.

Sometimes it's the small things in Mother Nature that wow us the most—like this viral live-streamed hatching of a Budgerigar parrot (or "Budgie") in China.
