To those passionate about helping others, we commend you. Veteran hairdresser Stewart Roberts felt inspired by other stylists across the world to begin a change in his local community in London, England. He founded Haircuts4Homeless to bring the homeless community a source of confidence and comfort. Their free services not only leave a physical impact but an emotional one as well. Those they serve come in looking for a haircut yet receive so much more. Human interaction, self-confidence and connection offer a personal experience.

Haircuts4Homeless is locally funded with the help of People's Projects and The National Lottery. Stewart and his team of volunteers were selected as the 2017 winners of the People's Projects, giving them the resources they need to keep cutting hair.

Mark and Linda, employees at the nearby CHAMP House, rush to perform CPR. That's when Austin Davis walks over to relieve Linda as she was noticeably low on energy. Austin continues CPR on George until the paramedics arrive — his heart stopped for 28 minutes. It is because of the efforts of Mark, Linda, and Austin that George is still alive. Doctors said he had a 100 percent blockage of his LAD artery, otherwise known as the "Widow Maker." Since this miracle, Austin has received recognition and immense thanks. Austin is a resident of the CHAMP house, an organization that provides transitional housing to homeless individuals. When George and Gerry learned of this, they felt a need to give back to Austin — which is why their family started a GoFundMe for him. Video via GoFundMe Studios View Now
