It's no rumor most dogs are fearful of loud noises and fireworks. So when Tina the pooch escapes her apartment in Brazil, the sound of fireworks was to blame. Her owner Jean Siqueira left for a few minutes to take a trip to the grocery store, giving Tina enough time to squeeze through the open patio door. In an attempt to flee, she dangles over the balcony in a terrifying stunt. Thankfully, nearby residents were quick to grab a sheet and wait below to catch her.

Meanwhile, in Spain two dogs find themselves trapped over 30-feet within a pipe. Their owner, unable to free them, called the fire brigade for help. After two hours of digging a 5-foot deep hole and carefully cutting through the pipe, firefighters were able to reach in and bring the dogs safely to the surface again.

Don't Punch The Shark & Heartwarming Baby Whale Rescue

Zoos have well-thought-out reasoning behind the "Don't Feed Animals" signs. Following that logic, punching a 16-foot trapped shark from an inflatable raft is probably a bad idea. Leave it up to sailors in the Chilean Navy to send mixed signals as they cut free this massive trapped Bluntnose sixgill shark from a tangled fishing line. As a thank you, the powerful fish left a toothy autograph. Then watch as these Australian beachgoers resisted playful urges when they rescued this suffocating baby humpback whale. View Now

When Animals Don't Want To Be Rescued... Hold On!

In animal rescue, it's easy to forget how differently a rescued critter can see the situation! Even if the rescuee is as small as a duckling, remember every alarm bell in their adorable little heads is ringing as a 'predator' moves in for the kill.
