One early morning in Sri Lanka, South Asia, a farmer went to tend to his fields when he happened upon four elephant calves trapped in a deep well. Once the farmer quickly alerted wildlife officials, the elephants were soon after given food and water until they were able to free them. Using a backhoe and a whole lot of human kindness, the elephants were free to live life as normal.

One of the sweetest human acts of kindness we've seen is when someone pulls off the road to help an animal in distress. This driver noticed two crows harassing a baby possum in the middle of his lane. While he tried honking at the animal, that didn't do the job, so he got out of his vehicle and brought the possum to safety. Via Jukin Media.
