The San Francisco Bay never looked more gorgeous and life is good for windsurfer Mauricio Albornoz. It isn't until Mauricio is almost out of sight on the water that his windsurfing rig completely collapses! Alone, freezing and exhausted, the marooned windsurfer drifts in the ocean more than an hour. When help finally arrives, soggy Mauricio is nearly too weak to pull himself out of the water!

Our plucky friend joins RightThisMinute hosts from his home with more details about this harrowing accident and miraculous ocean rescue.

Some Rivers Are Better Left Un-Crossed

Some Rivers Are Better Left Un-Crossed

Every time our roads flood we see unfortunate souls try their luck at Mother Nature's water casino and pay dearly. The 4wd 4x4 Australia rescue group had successfully crossed this small stream under normal conditions so the rising, angry waters didn't scare them as much as they should. One swept-away SUV later, we hope these older-but-wiser drivers have learned a sad but life-saving lesson! In a nutshell: Six inches of still water is enough to fry your steering ability and even stall your ride, leaving you trapped. One foot of water is enough to float your vehicle (say goodbye, folks!). Two feet of rushing water will sweep away any vehicle—from SUVs to sedans and even heavy lifted pickup trucks! Like the National Weather Service says, "Turn Around Don't Drown". View Now

Rude much? Next, a leopard in Zambia was boldly stealing food right out of a crocodile's mouth. Once the crocodile finally noticed what was going on, the leopard decided to take its meal to go!
