UPDATE 7/7/12 - FOUR PAWS has reported that Nastia is with her mother, but in a separate enclosure for safety precautions. They will need to get used to each other before they can be together.

The video of baby bear Nastia being taken from her mother by animal traders left a huge impression on RightThisMinute viewers, and we now have an update! FOUR PAWS Animal Organization was able to rescue Nastia from a zoo of animal traders with help from Ukrainian authorities. 

FOUR PAWS' Nicolas Entrup says the group used anesthesia on Nastia during the rescue to avoid any further stress. The 5-month-old cub was found malnourished and underweight, and her teeth are in poor condition. Nastia was given fresh fruit and water. She will soon be reunited with her mother.
