Travel Blogger Says Multi-Billion Dollar Company Swiped His Idea

When popular travel blogger Turner Barr woke up in the middle of the night to find out that global recruitment firm Adecco Group had started an “Around the World in 80 Jobs” marketing campaign, he was sick to his stomach. Why? Because Barr has been traveling the world since 2008, and has spent the last two years pouring his "blood, sweat, tears, energy and money" into his website, "Around the World in 80 Jobs." Astonished and demoralized to find that his entire brand, image, and web personality had been swiped and trademarked by a multi-billion dollar a year corporation, Barr called on social media and the Internet to spread awareness for his cause - and the Internet answered! Since publishing a blog post last Thursday, Twitter, Reddit, and Facebook have blown up with people supporting Barr, who says "we’re setting a precedent for how corporations view other young, independent online entrepreneurs like me or anyone with an idea to dream big. Holding them accountable is in all of our best interests." On Saturday, Adecco apologized on their Facebook page, but has yet to reach an agreement with Barr. RightThisMinute talked to Barr via Skype to hear where he is at in negotiations with Adecco now. RightThisMinute also reached out to Adecco for a response, but has yet to hear back.
