Once a year in a maximum security women's prison in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a handful of lucky inmates get to compete in a beauty pageant. It's the one chance they get to get all dolled up in hair and makeup and wear pretty clothes again, which is no doubt a great feeling for women who have been locked up. The cement was freshly smoothed out and polished when all of a sudden a rogue child emerged like the Tasmanian Devil, slipped on the wet concrete, then got up and ran off like it was nothing. A couple of thieves approached a woman at a gas station in England and attempted to steal her purse and the keys to her car, pulling her to the ground in the process. A grandfather in Anhui Province, China had to be held back by rescue workers so that he wouldn't endanger his own life by rushing into a burning home to save his grandchildren.
